My daughter has been to another OUSD public school and we both agree that her experience at AIMS has been far superior to her previous experience in the district. Our family fully supports the charter renewal for 5+ years. This is the best opportunity available to many in our community, closing AIMS will rob these kids of the stability and opportunity they deserve. Keep our school open!!!

I’m Brian Cabrera and I am happy to say that I have been teaching at AIMS Elementary for nine years. Throughout these years I have seen how AIMS consistently provides our students with the tools - both academic and social - to be successful in college, future careers, and life in general. We are a dedicated staff, and we urge you to let us continue our mission of preparing our students for their future.

I’m a parent of Aims 🏫 student and the thought of closing Aims 🏫 is the most stressful journey ever. The kiddos are unhappy so that the parents this is very unnecessary decision to be closing a very good at school and making the kiddos miserable. They have created a community with each others and this teachers the teachers are an excellent. Our kids are in excellent hands . Hopefully today is the day that we gonna hear a good news because the students deserve it. They needed a good education a place a good environment and an and Aims 🏫 is all and above and all the students deserve that.

    To whom it may concern,
I am proud to be part of Aims school, the decision to close school is very stressful for all current students and parents. Aims is the best school in town, and I have my three kids go same school for 12 years. My first son graduated from Aims and went straight to Uc Irvine. I felt heart broken for closure Aims.
Please keep our students at the same school because it is best school in town.
Thank you for listening to our voice.
    Best regards,
    Helen truong

As a parent, I feel like AIMS is the right school for my daughter. She is able to be supported with the difficult subjects she struggles with and is pushed on the ones that she excels in. I hope to continue her in the school until she graduates.

As a Professional in Charter Finance for nearly 15 years, I have witnessed exceptional programs as well as dysfunctional ones. Paramount for a Charter is to have a positive and viable Mission Statement and Vision. In my work with AIMS, the staff and management have 100% met the goals of both their Mission Statement and Vison since their last renewal. Mission Statement: "... prepare all students for admission to a four-year college after graduation". From FOX news in June: "For the 15th year in a row, the senior class at AIMS Charter School has achieved a 100% college acceptance rate." Vision: "...will cultivate a community of diverse learners who achieve academic excellence. Our commitment to high expectations in attendance, academic achievement, social justice and character development will result in our students achieving lifelong success" Absolutely such support and programs are being provided daily in our schools. I ask you to SERVE OAKLAND STUDENTS BY RENEWING AIMS.

I have been teaching for 5 years and I am in my second year of teaching at AIMS. Horace Mann said it best when he said that “education is a great equalizer”. AIMS provides its students with a high-quality education, acting as a pathway that is instrumental to breaking cycles and obtaining better opportunities in life. We have a diverse student population, many of them are immigrants and speak more than one language. At AIMS, I get the privilege of helping all of our students through my personal diversity and am able to improve their educational success through that connection with them. The school serves as both the foundation and a pillar in the community. Its educators and support staff are deeply connected to the community. Its students’ personal and academic achievements are what drive its direction and energy.

So, please give us the real chance at continuing our mission and to making the real improvements that we have committed to by renewing our charter. Thank you!”

    SUPPORT THE RENEWAL 💯

I’m a parent of 4 boys and I have and had and will have, if the school stay open, all my boys through all the AIMS schools. My wife and I are rigorous parents when it come into searching for school to our children. When I found out about AIMS I knew this was the right school for my boys. With my oldest boy going to a University next year, of course Im thankful with AIMS education system. We search many charters schools and went to their open orientation. AIMS is one of a kind, not perfect but definitely growing. There’s no perfect relationship, no perfect system but I see the potential of the school and the school, teachers, staff, parents and abroad are impacting our next generation. Don’t take away our children future, my boys future. Today you have the decision in your hand deciding our children fate, tomorrow they will have the decisions on how we will live our life in this ecosystem that changes. What you imprint today in their heart will echo for eternity!

    Hello,
I have been an employee at AIPCSII for 10 years as admin and now as the Technology Coordinator. What I've seen here is a school that is full of dedicated teachers and administrators that strive to give our students the best education possible. Learning and maintaining a high level of education also starts in the K-8 grade and AIPCSII is a school that prepares students for the rigors of AP and honors classes in the high school level. AIPCSII is also a diverse school that supports a wide number of communities and cultures. AIPCSII also strives to support students in special education and there has been an increase in special education staff to support this growing need. We also serve a large population of underserved students 1-to-1 Chromebook devices as well as a great nutritional program.

It would be a tremendous loss to the community if AIPCII is not renewed. I hope that OUSD and the board can see the impact AIPCSII has on the community and can renew its charter.

As a Teacher's Assistant at the High School for the past 3 years I have seen first hand the value added that AIMS provides for the Oakland Community. The teachers and staff are amazing and always are going above and beyond to help and serve the students. The students are all very unique and come from various back grounds. Each student is appreciative of their school and loves the environment that AIMS provides. AIMS is a very safe and secure place where students can excel to their full potential. The school reminds me of a private school within the public community. The main difference is that everyone is welcome to attend the school and all students feel very welcomed and supported.
