It saddens me to know that a group of people that WE votes for do not represent us! You keep shutting down our Arab and Muslim community and now you are showing your true colors labeling them as “UNSAFE”! You should be ashamed of yourself!
I am so disheartened that the people that are meant to support and protect us, are disregarding our needs and safety! Over 130 countries of the world voted for a ceasefire at the United Nations - and you would stand with the handful of murderous nations voting against it? You are aligning one of the most social justice forward school districts with the genocidal side?
As a child, did you never daydream about how you would have saved the victims of the Holocaust or slavery? This is your opportunity to make yourself proud, and stand up for humanity.
Stand with OEA, SEIU, the City of Oakland and ILUW… Make a resolution demanding a ceasefire now!
