L.-31 24-2721 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and Cantare Con Vivo, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide weekly in-school lessons for seven K-2nd grade classrooms, total of 28 sessions per classroom, including the opportunity for a community performance; "Music of California History" in two 4th and 4/5th grade classrooms, total of 10 sessions (8 sessions = 8 lessons, 1 rehearsal, 1 performance) per classroom; "Music of US History" in one 5th grade classrooms, total of 10 sessions (8 sessions = 8 lessons, 1 rehearsal, 1 performance) per classroom; after-school choir La Escuelita Music Stars, for 28 weekly sessions, including two off-site public performances in conjunction with other Cantare Children's Choirs, and one on-site performance; After-school Spanish Music Class "Cantemos Juntos" for newcomer students and their parents, a total of 10 sessions; and administer the following: hiring, training, and mentoring teaching artists; scheduling sessions through collaboration between teaching artists with school leadership and teaching staff; provide sequential, age-appropriate curriculum, teaching materials and supplies; student progress assessment and concerts and music class demonstrations/sing-alongs for school community at La Escuelita Elementary School, for the period of August 12, 2024 through May 29, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.
