There is an obligation on our elected board to run our district in a financially sustainable manner. A pay increase requires an adjustment to budget. Of course much debate and discussion should occur, no doubt with many disagreements. That is the process this board has gone through since start of the year. The result needs to be a YES on something. NO is not a solution but a big problem. Please get all the NOs out of the way before you agree something that can be a YES on a majority vote. We do need a budget adjustment to increase pay. Whatever way the budget gets adjusted next year any adjustment to human resources needs to be notified by March 15th, wherever those resources are in the district. To our collective board - you are responsible for getting this done. Please do something now. Also you can further refine what gets done next year for 2024/25 over the next year e.g. re-structuring of the district centrally and remotely.
