Regarding the former Piedmont CDC, please instruct the negotiator that any lease must be of fiscal benefit to OUSD and its students versus the needs of the City of Oakland, the City of Piedmont or the library system. If the library can't come up with a plan to do so in this larger space, please consider moving on to considering use of the space for what it was built for: education of young children, for which there is demand in the neighborhood and for which there is additional state funding.
