V.-4 21-1761 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Hosted Software License Agreement, including Schedule A (School Year 2021-2022) by and between District and Be a Mentor, Inc., Hayward, CA, for the latter to host the Vendor Management System (VMS), the application for vendor processing, conducting background screening and clearances and tracking ongoing arrest records of same for up to 120 District vendors, as described in the Amended Agreement, extending the term of the Agreement from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 to June 30, 2022, in the additional amount of $9,900.00, increasing the not to exceed amount of the Agreement from $9,900.00 to $19,800.00, via the Technology Services Department. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect.
Why do we no longer use Be A Mentor to do volunteer clearances? It seems that given they already are doing our vendors there would be economies of scale involved. We should not be using the Oakland Ed Fund for this purpose.
