OUSD's frontline workers need more than words to be honored during this pandemic. The way we honor workers is by providing safe working conditions, ensuring that all workers have N95 masks regardless of their affiliation and that all frontline workers are trained and prepared to meet the demands of showing up during a pandemic. Frontline staff should be honored by having access and ease to testing, and knowing what the plans are in the event of a covid outbreak.
Thank you to all of the frontline workers who put themselves at risk to ensure that our children were fed and our schools were ready for children and all the other things you did. You deserve much more than just a thank you.
